My friend's son killed this one last week in Utah on a general season muzzleloader hunt.

Got this guy last week in WY. Only legal buck I had seen.

Then, on the last day of the deer season while chasing elk, I saw a really nice buck...frown

If 2010 is "semi-recent" then this Montana buck can be thrown in.
[Linked Image]

Guess I could throw this 2011 Montana buck in too. Not big, but very typical for the unit behind my mom's house.

Wish I could see all these pics but Photobucket has me and other blocked if we dont pay there fee.....

Photobucket is being a bugger no doubt.
I have switched to Imgur, as recommended by several on this site.

I will see if I can upload some of the mulie pictures to that site and repost them here. No promises as I am not exactly a computer genius laugh

Here is a few of them-nothing huge but good solid bucks from areas with traditionally poor genetics and feed.

I got others but can't find them right now.

Mule deer are very possibly my absolute favorite critter to chase around, even more so than tail in a lot of cases...

The 8th one down was a WY buck. The rest are either WY, MT or ID. All but the velvet buck were taken on general seasons or unlimited tags. I will take a 2x2 muley over an average 5x5 whitetail. I don't know why but I like them way better.

I'm going to need it and a pair of track shoes to keep up with my partner! wink

I'm guessing you won't regret it.
