One round into the neck at the base of the skull out of my 7mag dropped it, was dead before it hit the ground.

This is the first bear I have ever taken. Should square out to 7ft, the biologist will have fun trying to measure what is left of the skull. Oops

No exit and I never found a single piece of bullet. The brain was complete mush. The back half of the skull is mostly gone, but I didn't really want to track it into the timber
