I'm interested in this Browning lever gun and hoping someone might have direct experience with it. If so please let me know your thoughts on the rifle.

Thanks!

Got one in 308. Like it quite a bit. Very smooth and quick to cycle. I can easily keep it on my shoulder and cycle it. Get extra magazines. Got it stuffed behind the seat with a red dot on it. NY legal. Anything within 100 yards can get poked quickly.

Have a good scope for it but have not shot it with the scope yet.

Thanks for the info. I've seen quite a bit of Browning bashing online lately. I've had Browning rifles and shotguns in the past and they have all been good-ditto for Winchester but it's been a few years.

I love my BLRs (none of mine are the takedown models).

I've had three, no takedowns. All were accurate. 223. 7mm-08, 450 marlin. Don't want another tho.

I have the same rifle in 300 WSM, very handy to have the takedown if you are travelling somewhere to hunt. What I didn't like about it brand new was the trigger, but a trip to Paul Jones in PA solved that problem, he works wonders on BLR triggers...

I have a take down in 7mm-08 but with out the rail sections. I have a leupod 2X8X36mm on it. Shoots under an inch at 100 yards. I love and will buy more take downs when possible.

Do you fellas without the take down version find them difficult to clean the barrel?

For me the added step involved is very minimal.
I frequently use a boresnake anyhow but if I feel the need to use a rod the large centerfires have plenty of room to affix a cleaning tip pretty easily.
Even on those occasions where I've wanted to go crazy and do a thorough copper removal I didn't find it unmanageable.
I can see where small cal or short cartridge leverguns might present some added challenges.

Have a good scope for it but have not shot it with the scope yet.

A 308 that's only good to 100 yards?

Assuming the red dot scope to be the limiting factor.
