maybe Remington 673 in .308
and maybe...

kimber adirondack in .308

This one is my favorte and is shooting 130 gr TTSX LIGHTS OUT, but I had a little bolt face pitting issue yesterday that I need to check out. It might have to sit this season on the sidelines.

After reading this thread again I see lots of dead deer and maybe a clean eating sized pig or two, spending time afield each fall becomes more enjoyable the older I get, I have the hope that some of you men are taking your children/grandchildren out too, hunting and the taking of game for food will help them to grow into more understanding and respectable adults, God knows they're gonna need all the help they can get to navigate it all in the coming decades. smile

I've gt a couple pre-64 300 H&H's, the 280 AI I have is a Montana, that's a rude hard bucking whip weight of a rifle, shoots good if you hang onto it firmly, rifles that light are the hardest for me to shoot accurately, my 16 pound 45-100 Sharps bull gun falls asleep in your hands when you lay it out for a shot. wink

This year I'll be using a 1915-manufacture 1895 in 303 British for opening weekend. A no. 4 mk 2 is coming along in case the weather turns nasty. Both get fed reloads featuring 180 gr spire points.

Sweet, after MadMooner reminding me about my 303 up in the African forum, I need to add it to the list, mine shoots the little 215 gr Woodleighs really well, don't believe a deer or pig can hold one.
