Wondering if this was made this way or a gunsmith converted it to hinged? Came on a pretty nice custom rifle that had a Parker Hale action in it.

Portuguese Verquiero 1904 bottom metal, just like Argentine 1909 except with locking screws and a tab on the floorplate release.

Thanks. Even though the rifle wasn't a 98 they basically used the same pattern for bottom metal?
