Wow. I love my .358 Win lw bolt action for shorter range hunting. An AR in .358 win wouldn't interest me, but at 7lbs it could be a nice bear defense rifle....or the modern day replacement for the Model 8 if you're going after Bonnie and Clyde.

Ping pong balls for the win. Once you've wrestled everything else in life is easy. Dan Gable I keep my circle small, I’d rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies.
Ain’t easy havin pals.

My AR phase ended very quicky. Not my thing, apparently. Already did a .348 so my medium medium itch has been scratched as well.
You other fellers go right ahead though.
What fresh Hell is this?

I was hoping it was a Ruger #1 in a 358 Winchester.

I’m just hopeful that releases like this open up the commercial ammo market a little

LOL...I wouldn't go as far as SCGunNut, but have shot them and really see no need for them myself. Got stuff here at the house for home defense and don't see myself as an LEO wannabe or Soldier of Fortune. But certainly have no problem with others who want to do it.

Maybe Ruger will chamber 100 Hawkeyes in .358 Win. like they recently did in .257 Roberts. I would love to see that happen!

Onliest thang better would be BAR in .35 Whelen slinging Barnes TTSX through auto coachwork and motorized 21st Century Bandits!!

I was hoping it was a Ruger #1 in a 358 Winchester. Yeah, that would probably get my wallet to open wide.

A pending .358 AR is an even bigger let down than a pending ruger American so chambered. To each his own I guess.

358 Win chambered AR rifles are nothing new and have been around for some time. Take any 308 AR and swap the barrel with one of several commercially available 358 Win barrels; it's actually really simple, way easier than changing the barrel in a bolt action.

should be a cool thumper for your intended task. i like the round myself. as for ar floor plan i was sort of hohum but after finding myself shooting 1/2 inch and under with a used one i found at nice price i am looking harder at the idea. tactical has nothing to do with what works for someone. the younger up coming hunters are needed to shor up our ranks in the hunting field. something like this should appeal to a bunch of them, so yaaaa for you and keep up good work!!!!
