We have a pile of things to do for the MEA weekend.

Tomorrow I'm hauling up my monkeys and my step-daughter to ride some wheelers and have a late lunch with my mom. Then Friday me and the mini man, who's not so mini anymore, are headed up north of Duluth to try to find the main ingredient for grouse noodle soup. Yep...we're headed up to buy noodles. grin

Hi wabi, no I don't have time for that mess. I did post a soup recipe for you though.

Yes you are right, I will miss him. He sent me some brass welding backer plates, the value of those plates just went up in my mind. I will think of him every time I used them.

Live report from the deer stand. Joey and I are huddled inside Pam's elevated shooting blind. The wind holds a steady 60 mph with gusts up to 382 mph.
We have seen a few tumble-deer blow through like tumble weeds, didn't feel right about shooting them tho.

Trying to breathe new life into it. No harm meant.

I'm not coming on here much any more. Just wanted to wish good luck to all the Minnesota boys, especially the Chickenbuckers. Stay safe folks.

Wind is a fascinating thing. It's just air, moving about with violent force. I can't see it, but it moves, it bends and breaks things, tumbles and rolls things.

Wonderful stuff.

Thanks nature, thanks for this pissed off air. It's super neat.

Lol

Lol. We had rain and thunderstorms yesterday. Lots and lots of rain. We even got to break out the tow strap today. After 1,734 inches of rain, one of the guys Tahoe sunk to the frame.

still dry up here, and the air is still angry at everything. Fast moving air.

Zero deer killed or even seen in youth deer season.
