I'll be rooting against Houston no matter whom they are playing until they go back to their original name. I imagine you will be in for quite a wait to root for them, then... They were the Astros then. Good enough.

It seems, I recall the Colt Patent Firearms Company putting the kibosh on the original name? Not sure... Colt 45 Malt Liquor is still around. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colt_45_(malt_liquor) That stuff is very popular among certain ethnic regions...

I had never heard they were called that before. I wish they still were. The liberals would be freaking out over that. Found this story about the name http://www.chron.com/sports/article/When-the-Colt-45s-became-the-Astros-and-the-10647526.php The Colt Firearms Company was getting a little weird about it too. The gun marker reportedly had reservations about merchandising rights and was likely to start asking about a cut of the revenue, and team president Roy Hofheinz wasn't into sharing.
