I made stuffed antelope heart in the crock pot last night. Eating it for lunch now. It's really good. In the past I've only fried it with onion, like liver.

We enjoy deer heart quite a bit. We boil the piss out of a big pot of 5-7 of em, then slice it thin, batter and fry. Dip in a bit of yellow mustard....
Outstanding.

I never did boil heart.
Washed it really well in cold water and then did like you did. Slice, bread and fry.
Why do you boil it?

Wishing I'd saved the heart off mine I shot a couple weeks ago. Another great fella I met in camp, APDDSN0864, told me he likes to pickle his with onions and pickling spice. Bet that's good, too.

Mallard schnitzel with mushrooms, egg noodles and asparagus. I filleted the breast meat off a couple mallard recently of Alberta, pounded it flat between a couple sheets of plastic wrap and then salt/pepper - egg wash and panko and pan fried. The rest you can figure out.

Shirred eggs last night, thanks to that earlier thread on here. I have to work on not overcooking them. Tonight, we're having backstrap sandwiches and oven fries. I like my heart rare. Ironbender, whatever that birthday dinner was, it looks succulent.

Fried cabbage and sausage.
Washed it down with a Shiner Bock.
I have no imagination what so ever.

Nacho cheese Doritos, bean dip and meat sticks from the convenience store. Oh, and half a Pepsi.
Never can drink a whole bottle of pop.......I guess I get tired of it.
Training night at the fire department. I had to go in early so I missed dinner at home and we went late so missed any available food in town.

We were busy preparing for winter so we got in a little late.
Cut some chops off of a whole pork loin, can of green beans and fried potatoes and onions.
I cooked the potatoes in lard.
Greased the chop pan in lard too.
I can now see why folks cook with lard! The smell alone while the taters and onions were cooking was worth it.
Like standing at the order window at an old drive in.
I am MAGA.

Chinese take-out for 2, On my boss's credit card. He found out I covered an emergency call, tonight, on my birthday, and decided to make it up to me.

What was the Chinese food? It was food made by Chinese, but that's not important right now....
