Bushnell Trophy TRS-25 red-dot sight. Friend of mine has one on a Ruger Mini-30. We were banging steel plates from 50 to 200 yards with boring regularity. It's small, lightweight and has held up to over 1k rounds of 7.62X39 ammo. Oh and it's affordable....$ 69.99 @ Amazon.com with free shipping! Thanks, Tom

Check on ebay for some older AimPoints like the 1000 model. I have a few and fit them to my 9 and 45 camp rifles. They look and function great.

Just my opinion, but find a Burris 2.5 or 4x straight tube Fullfield or a Weaver 1-3 or 2.5 newer scope (Japan). I think any of those would serve you well.
