I’m not a tequila fan for good reason.

I don’t always drink tequila but when I do I drink Don Julio.

I keep a bottle of tequila under the kitchen sink at all times in case the drain gets clogged.

Tequila is my favorite distilled beverage. I prefer the Blanco or commonly called clear- white. It is not harsher when distilled properly but can be very clean tasting with very light fresh lime like flavors. Cabo Wabo is a favorite and surprisingly good for the price is Olmeca Altos.

It is claimed by many to be pretentious and over rated but I still like the smoothness of Patron Silver. The Altos is a very close second though at just $20 a liter here. The Cabo Wabo is excellent as well with a a bit more Agave flavor. I would serve the Altos to someone who wanted a smoother Tequila and the Cabo Wabo to a Tequila drinker who really enjoyed the flavor of good Tequila. The Patron is for ladies who want the ultimate smoothness, but many seasoned Tequila drinkers think it is too flavorless. Personally I like it but not the price.

I drink mine chilled with lime on the side or with a small amount of ice and lime in a tumbler. You don't have to quickly shoot good Tequila and bite the lemon as fast as possible.

Suava. To me, it's as good as Patron at half the price. (Patron is $50 a bottle here.)

Heradura Resposado, 3 fingers, neat.

Patron is overrated, and over-priced.

1800 is better than Patron, and a nice option when nothing higher end is available.
