Weather ecspurts said rain. Not a drop. Windy and warm.
Drove out at 2pm, moved a stand.
Much better spot. I got pretty heated w just jeans and T shirt.
Back home by 4.
See what happens next weekend.
Kid got concussion/possibly broken nose yesterday. Beyond ridiculous. Hopefully no nose surgery next weekend.

It's not the south wind but the damn warm temps it brings. Things don't cool down here till near end of next week Does warm things up,but I can handle that more than not being able to hunt. South wind is craps for all my stands but 1 and its not morning stand which I need . I'm still doing well however, got 3 in the freezer....grin Warm weather or not,rut is not far off here now. Got reports of a few big boys on their feet this past week before all the rain hit.

Been warm down in the Catskills too Dan. My son and I picked off a few does for the freezer and have just about enough meat for the next year. Here's mine complements of slick trick 100gr. The bigger boys seem to be moving in the cool of night. (Pictures re-photographed from laptop screen, hence the back images.) -Ken

I wanted so badly to love slick tricks as they flew awesome. They performed really good but for some strange reason the blood trails were sometimes a bit on the light side, now I have recovered all but one deer with them and it was a shoulder shot ☹️ Like I said blood trails were mediocre at best and made it hard to track. Now for 3 yrs I have been using Rage Hypodermics and let me tell you....red carpet baby! To be honest I’m not a mechanical broadhead lover but so far I’m sold on the Rages. Also I’m 100% on blow throughs.

Got to Love Slick Tricks! been useing them since I heard about them on here! Me too ! I shot rage for years and like them ok. I did get tired of checking the blades all the time esp stalking the corn fields. Got good blood trails with my STs.

Suburban deer. Got to love Greece (if you can find a place to hunt and don't mind company) I'm seeing lots of bucks getting hit this week Dan. They are definitely starting to move.
They say everything happens for a reason. For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.
