I watched some small bucks chase the ladies around for a long time this morning. Then things got quiet so I went on a walk about. I was heading up a ridge when I heard more chasing and it sounded like they were coming right at me. I shouldered old smoky and got ready. Two doe popped over the ridge and sailed by me at about 8 feet away. Next was a basket racked 8 point. He stopped beside me and was staring at the girls who had stopped behind me. Then I heard more commotion from over the ridge. He steps up on the ridge and my heart jammed smack-dab into my tonsils! I could tell by his body posture and his moves that he knew something wasn't right. I had the wind so I knew he didn't smell me. I didn't have a good clear shot. Now my heart has switched direction and is headed to the south exit AND is taking all my knotted up intestines with it... Finally after a minute he turned broadside to check out and the 250 grain Nosler Partition found some shoulder bone. ![[Linked Image]](https://s20.postimg.org/4kygsfo0t/IMG_6078.jpg)
