Does anyone have any experience with this, or is it to new still? Looks to carry energy a lot further than the 100g BT's I use now.

Hornady has the 257 ELD-X in inventory but will not ship the bullets until new loading data is completed... which will be posted on the Hornady website. I have loads worked up for my 25-06 using the now discontinued Hornady 100 gr spire point along with the 120 gr HP. I guess I will give this new bullet a try as well.

The real question becomes is there a .25 Creedmore coming in the future??

Dave Manson makes the reamer for it.

The 100 grain Ballistic Tip works great for me.

I was hoping for a heavier ELD X for the 25 cal . I shoot a 115 Partition 25 06 and not going any lighter

I would agree on a heavier .25 ELD-Z to replace the Horn 120 gr hollow point.

I would be for the heaviest ELD-X that a 1-10 twist would stabilize, too bad that is the twist we live with in that caliber.

Same here. Good accuracy and we have had good results on deer with them, too.

465bc vs 481bc for the berger vld-hunting .- same same .

Hornady across the board is my favorite , what's not to like , cheaper than nosler/berger/sierra/etc. .

I'll be trying them out someday , 25-06 has great barrel life .

I think this is why Hornaday chose 110 grain as some of the longer 115s and above are marginal in a 1-10 twist. My 25-06 has a 1-9 and if I build any other 25s it will have a 1-9 or even faster twist as bullets seem to keep getting longer these days with the monos and VLDs.

Agreed Tejano.

I have been running 1-9's in 25-06 and 257 Roberts. I certainly would not be opposed to going faster either!
