I skipped an arrow off this guys back tonight.
Accidentally used my 50 yd pin.
He was 36 yds, figured to use my 40 yd pin and hold low.
Counted down 4 pins...stopped him and fired. (My pins start at 20 yds)
Oh well.

That would really suck if a big shooter comes by. Hope you didn't hurt yourself. You can fix the bow.

I’m fine I’ll get it fixed later hopefully when archery shop opens
I have my Outback still if worse comes to worse but I think it just needs to be put in a bow press and string out back on

Bummer.
At least it’s an easy fix.

Couple years ago my brother dropped his shotgun out of his treestand.
Said it landed barrel first and stuck there, he got down grabbed a stick and cleaned the mud out of it.
As he was getting back up his tree a nice buck came running towards him and he ended up shooting it.
Can’t beat that.

I dropped my crossbow out of the stand last year. It also landed straight down on the stirrup. The arrow stuck in the dirt, the stirrup got bent flat, and it stayed cocked. Went down and picked it up and loaded a different bolt. Took it home, straightened it out, put it back together, and good to go.

Is that on the same land as the last one? Thinking the drop tines might be in their genes.

Good to hear the bow is ok. A couple of months ago I took my crossbow in to get a new string and the guy at the bow shop wanted to send it back to Ten Point because the limbs were starting to delaminate on each side. They gave me new limbs and a string. All I had to pay was $15.00 shipping. I wonder if dropping it from 18' had anything to do with the cracks.

You've got quite a herd up there. Good luck and keep it coming. I like to read this thread.
