The snow was so deep when I was a kid we have to add a second story on the house to get any sunlight in the winter. School buses, they were these big, cold, yellow metal boxes kids rode to school in, they ran even on days when it snowed. Snow, this cold, white material that falls from the sky, made winter chores very difficult. Chores, they were these things we had to do before and after school.
And the worst thing of all, we didn't have microwaves.

It is always amazing how far from the original post a thread can wander and how quickly it can do so. All the better. That's what makes it fun! I totally agree - just wanted to point it out.

do you know schools no longer teach cursive writing? no wonder america is getting dumber every day They do here, my Granddaughter is learning cursive right now. She was showing me how "Pretty" she could write last Sunday.
