The snow was so deep when I was a kid we have to add a second story on the house to get any sunlight in the winter. School buses, they were these big, cold, yellow metal boxes kids rode to school in, they ran even on days when it snowed. Snow, this cold, white material that falls from the sky, made winter chores very difficult. Chores, they were these things we had to do before and after school.

And the worst thing of all, we didn't have microwaves.
