In the middle of a charlie foxtrot with an AR parts supplier from SC. Is there another supplier near the same price point that has a better history of product QC and customer service?

Genearlly you get either a low price or high quality customer service etc. High quality customer service is not cheap, and is generally reflected in the price.
DD has a reputation for top quality CS, but you pay for it.
