I have a couple of the FX-II 2.5x scout scopes which I do like, but just thinking about trying something else and this has my interest. The eye relief is a couple inches less on the VX-2 IER version from the specs. I see Midway has a bit of a sale on them at the moment, $239.99 & Free Shipping....
