I would love to see a few more seasons. It is one of the few shows I will watch on television.

AFAIK - 10 episodes this release - the end! "The Warden" got into it - then we found out much was filmed here. Now she's an addict , and has seen every episode - in order. She's waiting to watch the rest during her upcoming chemo episodes. Told me she'd have to go back a couple of episodes to get "caught up" before going to the latest season.

Really disappointed! Found out that I need a new rifle.... a .375H&H, won’t even give complete penetration on a man! memtb

Season two, show one, An Unquiet Mind, was filmed where I elk hunt. One of the eating establishments shown is a place we've eaten at many times. Wife and I also stayed a week in one of the cabins shown on that episode.
Wife and I absolutely love this series, as we see so many spots we recognize from time to time. Great actors, well written storylines...sure are gonna miss it. Wonder if they'll continue to have Longmire reunions in Wyoming each year? Would love to attend one.

The ending was excellent,
Son of a liberal: " What did you do in the War On Terror, Daddy?"
Liberal father: " I fought the Americans, along with all the other liberals."

I had a few problems with the inaccuracy of any firearms and ballistics mentioned in the earlier episodes. Such as, "The only way to get a 45-70 is to acquire an antique from the Custer's era." And "A 45 caliber handgun will not exit a human skull."
But, all in all, we have enjoyed the series emensely. Watching season six, episode two right now.

One of the things I like about Longmire are the homes...they have some real beautiful homes in that show. In reality I'm thinking most of them are lodges, filmed as homes.

I always think of a joke Dennis Miller told. "I did a show at an Indian Casino once...didn't see many Indians there. After the show there was a knock at the door of my hotel room, their was a gumba standing the there, "Chief Jimmy D'Matto requests your company for dinner".

No most of em, if not all, are homes....really expensive homes. They filmed all around the area where we elk hunt. Some serious $ up that way.

Just finished. I'm incredibly sad the series is over. When you get to be my age, 61, it's hard to find good stuff to watch.

I watched a little bit when it first came across my screen. Then I learned a 45/70 was a " sniper" rifle and , and you could not purchase a new one?????
Then the goofy S H I T could not keep his truck on the road.
Cannot waste time on that crap.

In the right hands, it was a “sniper” rifle in the 1800’s. Can’t buy a new one....now that’s a bit off! Unless they meant you can’t buy a “new” one from the 1800’s. memtb

I binged on year six, even with the inconsistencies in it. It was suppose to be N.W. wyoming put in reality filmed in new mexico. I read a lot of the longmire novels, you can spot a number of boopers in there on firearms. The guy that wrote the novels i think is from New York, but is not really firearms proficient. REally good ending tho, it took long enough.

Lots of references to real towns as well like Ten Sleep and Sheridan. Craig Johnson is originally from West Virginia but lives in Ucross. I agree, quite a few firearms bloopers in both the books and the show. Still enjoy both. I'm still working through season five right now on Netflix.

5 episodes into season six it looks like the producers are trying to rush through production. I can't get past the idea that a city mayor can order an elected county sheriff around and try to fire him. I'm pretty sure it doesn't work that way.
