Thanks to Calhoun for posting pics for me, I was lucky to get this one with my old reliable 1966E in 308 win, first 99 I ever bought. Big body deer and yes he is going to taxidermist.

I'm not an expert on any of the checker patterns , but the lever boss code is T, also have a bolt action westernfield 712 made by savage with the same checkering made in 1968.
