All my buddies buy nothing but Tikkas nowadays. And while they are great rifles, and I will admit they are probably the most accurate rifles out of the box, I just can't get use to their funky safety location.

In the past few years, I've sold nearly all of my Remingtons except for my 700 Classics, which I collect. And nearly all my new rifles I've purchased lately have been Rugers. And a few Winchesters too. Next rifle purchase though, will be a Kimber Adiondack grin

My nephew bought a rem 770 in 7 rm.....what a pile ....no wonder they are in trouble and I really don't feel sorry one bit...the rifle is something you would expect to see at toys r us...he missed several shots due to misfires and the bolt won't stay in....there have always been an entry level cheaper choice but they ar least worked....think he will buy another rem.....never he is shopping for a win mod 70
His brother won't even consider a rem anything....not even ammo....
For me I have picked up a few cheap 700 s but mostly I look for and have bought a few pre 64 s some older Sakos a manlicher..husky
Mausers....haven't bought a new rifle in many years

Colt "Colteer" .22 semi auto rifle (this was a gift so I don't know if it counts).

That's off the top of my head.

They come and go, so I really cannot recall what all has hung around for a bit, then gone down the road.

Remington dove loads are great. I use them in 71/2s for dove and 6s for quail and squirrels.

I don't think I've bought a new rifle or shotgun in 10 years of any manufacturer. Multiple used from multiple manufacturers, both current production as well as kinda antique stuff.

I sold an original BDL configuration Mountain Rifle in 7-08 though, that's gotta count for something?

Out of all the firearms I’ve bought in the last ten years pretty much the only ones that are no longer around are the Remington’s. The only one I can think of that I’ve sold that wasn't a rem, was a M77 MKII.

Never bought a Remington built in this century. Now that I think about it, I have 3, but only purchased one. The others were passed from family.

Never owned a Remington. I am a Win M-70 or MRC guy. No reason to change.

The only Remington rifle I've ever bought was a 700 Classic in 8x57. It's been used a fair amount over the past few years, mostly for nice weather deer hunting.

16 (?) years ago I traded off my one BG rifle, a remy ADL, got a tikka, then on to sakos and started the kids off with tikka T3's when they came out, then sold them all off and got started on pre 64 M70s, now days that's what every BG rifle we have is, a pre 64 M70 of one form or another...just don't see changing that up, pretty happy with what we've got.I don't hate remmy's...just like and know the old model 70's..

In the last ten years, only CZ and Rugers, plus a used Marlin 336. I only have two Remingtons, an ancient M24 .22Short only autoloader, and an 870.

I've had a few 700s, but have never been able to really warm up to them. There's something there that I do not like, either the stock dimensions, the too short bolt handle, something. I can't really quantify, but I just don't like them much. Not enough to ever buy another, anyway.

The whole idea of buying a 700 just to take It to a gun smith and true the action and tinker with it and buy after markers parts for a brand new gun for it to shoot right is a turn off.
If I was looking For a project and had money to burn, maybe.
But I like the idea of buying a gun that’s problem free out of the box and shoot lights out.

All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.
