I seem to buy a lot more than I sell.
I won't be wronged. I won't be insulted. I won't be laid a-hand on. I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them.

Then to top it off....won a ruger 270 so decided that someone was tryign to tell me I needed the round I hate worst.
So not just a .270, but a RUGER .270.....surprised you even took it home, Jeff. Sometimes when it hits you in the head often enough you have to listen... Shocker of the year.. last TWO handguns we bought, I THINK, were ruger. There may have been a Glock 20 in between though... Dang 270 shoots well enough and is sitting there ready in case anyone ever needs to use it.

Best as I can recall I have only sold 5 or 6 my whole life.. I am usually the buyer not the seller. It never has given me a pleasurable feeling when I part with a gun, I must have some sort of a bad affliction!!!!!

I ordered a Para Ordnance Type 97 Carbon fiber AR15 handgun 20 years ago. 1) I could not hit anything. 2) The chamber was tighter than SAAMI. 3) It made so much noise it came through muffs and plugs.
I dumped it at the Pawn shop on consignment. The wife later went and picked up the check.
Normally I would just throw a gun in storage and forget it, but I hated that gun.

The only gun that has left my possession is a rifle I purchased to give to my nephew on his 10th year birthday. I don't think gifts count.
If I was to get rid of any of my firearms it would be the Ruger M77 in .338 Win mag. Purchased when I was younger and dumber.

Literally hundreds, only way I could have, at this time in my life easily say, I got to play with them all. They are just firearms, they make them every day, and if no longer in production, they were cranked out by the tens of thousands. Gave away the true keepers to my son and son in law, other than that, I'll keep buying here and there, then probably selling or trading, not many left I really want to mess with?

I still have all me weapons that I have bought over the years, including the little J.C. Higgins lever action .22 I bought from "sears and roebuck" way back in '64 or so. I think I have only gotten rid of two weapons, ever, and each one was to trade up to something better.

I have a very small collection of guns but have come to the point where I have enough deer hunting rifles.
It's not a gun problem so much as it is a reloading problem. Get a new rifle so you need 100-200 pieces of brass, couple bricks of primers, powder, bullets, all that chit adds up! And I need to keep better notes because sometimes I forget what the hell I have going on.
Just hate to sell a good hunting rifle.
Started buying pistols, couple rimfires. Could use another shotgun...
Last rifle I bought has only shot factory 223.

I still have every gun I've ever bought plus several I acquired as an inheritance. Never sold one yet.

I used to buy, sell, and trade regularly. Made some good money, and owned some interesting guns. Lately, I've found I do more buying and less selling and trading.

I've had 3 stolen. I did buy a few to turn and sell at a later date. The only one that I ever sold that I purchased for "me" was a low number Colt Delta Elite 10mm. Still wishing I owned it. Years ago, Turners in Calif was closing out SKS rifles. They were Norincos. Had the bayonet mount drilled out. $69.99 each, or $39.99 if you bought 10 of them. This was just prior to the law changing in CA where individual sales would need to go through a FFL. Right after that, I moved to AZ, and sold all but one them for $125 each.

I have been writing range reports for 15 years and sending an email to friends. I include the gun, the scope, the bullet, the powder , the charge, and group size, the velocity measured, work needed on the gun, ect. The problem was hunting trips. I would write things in a notebook, but hunting trips are campaigns in war. Last year I borrowed a lap top, got on wifi 900 miles from here and sent emails. This year I bought a new lap top, put QUickload on it, and sent emails every day of target practice before hunting season. Two more practice days before hunting, but high winds expected for Thursday and Friday. 1) Sighted in 6.5-06 Rem 700 at 200 yards
2) Sighted 257 Roberts Arisaka in at 200 yards. 1" 3 shot group at 200 yards 100 gr nosler ballistic tip 46 gr IMR-4451 2.963" OAL jammed into the lands 63.4 kpsi 3231 fps Quickload 2926 fps chrono 2936 2911 Pressure on primers looks very high
3) 250 Savage Savage 12 100 gr Nos Bal Tip 39 gr CFE223, 2.550" OAL 62.5 kpsi 3154 fps Quickload 3115 fps chrono 3197 3253

I sold some and, yes wish I had a few of them back. I usually have no problem parting with handguns, but rifles and shotguns are another matter. Since I have no immediate family to leave them to I'm thinking I should gradually sell some off........not going to live forever and looking back over the last 40 yrs hunting I could've have easily done it all with my original beretta semi 12 GA and my first 30-06.
