Any one know what new calibers Winchester will launch in the mod 70? As far as my limited knowledge goes, Winchester produces a limited run of at least one new or classic cartridge every year in the mod. 70 ...

Those are the SHOT SHOW specials.
Be nice to see Winchester chamber the .300 H&H or even .257 Wby.

If only... can’t even imagine the joy if W did a run of stainless lefties.. even if this highly unlikely event did take place, we would only see the blued boring trifecta... which I would jump at. I have a lefty Ruger 77 and Rem 700 both in stainless but would love a lefty in a Winchester... calibers 22 hornet, 280AI, 350 rigby, 416 Taylor, 318 WR...

I wish they'd put a heavy barreled target rifle out. I love the look of the satin black finish with stainless barrel on the Coyote Lite but hate the light and fluted barrel. Basically, would like to see them do a run of the old 1990s SA's but in CRF. It annoys me to no end that they're the only major manufacturer who doesn't have a real target rifle.
Now if we're talking just calibers.... I would absolutely love to see them put out a .220 Swift or .22 Hornet.... in either a target rifle or Super Grade. Super Grade would be sweet!

I get excited this time of year, wondering what M70s might be coming from Winchester. For me though, it's been pretty disappointing the last few years.... like the maple Super Grade stock. No offense to anyone who likes them but I was pretty disappointed after holding my breath all the way up to Shot Show only to see that thing. I just think with Winchester's somewhat monopoly on controlled round feed guns, they could really grab some sales with cool offerings. Same thing with Ruger but they seem to be asleep at the wheel too with interest only in their handguns.

I wish that W would bring back the Classic STS line with top workmanship and the OLD TRIGGER!!!
I have owned and used 43 original P-64s and two custom STS Classics and am now getting rid of all of these except about three, due to age and owning many other rifles. But, I consider the Classic STS, especially with the Weibe mag box-follower to be about as good as it gets for magnum chamberings used for BC and "Territories" hunting.
Such a piece, with Brockman-Talley mounts, two scopes in QD rings, in .338WM plus a Kimber Montana, .270Win. are about as "ideal" for serious BC uses as can be had and how I would go were I young again.

I was told several months ago by a Winchester employee that 6.5 Creedmoor chambering was coming for next year.

Why dont they give us another Fwt option stock? That same Fleur-de-lis pattern is what 35 years old? Those who adore it, have several most likely. Why not give us the lines of the Fwt SG/Higrade or JOC tribute on a run of the mill Fwt. Even sonething like the Lightweight stock from the late 80's would be a good alternative.

I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Yup, I'm with you BSA, glad there are still plenty of classics and pre-64's, I could never get passed portugal stamped on a Model 70 Winchester. MF'n bean counters!
