Just finished reading the post here about the Hornady ELD-X on game performance. I am going to develop a do it all load for my 300 WSM and was leaning strongly towards the standard Nosler AB because they shoot very well from my rifle, any reason why I should now consider the ELD-X? I like the NAB because my shots on deer can be from under 100 to over 500 yards, and a the NAB is advertised as working at anywhere from nearly 3000 fps to 1600 fps.

Those AB's are the real deal, and should work perfectly. The ELDX may be great too, and early reports are pretty good overall, but there are no question marks regarding the AB's. Good luck.
It is irrelevant what you think. What matters is the TRUTH.

If the AB shoots well I'd not change.
I'm using the ELDx and it killed the last deer I shot...but I've got to get a little more hands on with it before I sign off on it. I'm not real comfortable with it yet for killing.

Between those 2 I'd go with the AccuBond in a 300 mag. Both do well at 500-600 but the AB does much better at 25 to 400

I've not shot a head of game with the ELD X but have used the AB's in the .300wm (and several other cartridges) on a fair amount of whitetails and antelope from my toes out to around 500yds. Accuracy is stellar and they perform well, having placed them through the shoulders, through the lungs, from forward of the hip through to the opposite front shoulder and almost straight on on the point of the shoulder. Usually more bloodshot and meat damage that with a TTSX or a NPT but that's part of the package.
If that's what shoots well in your rifle you won't go wrong using them.

Thanks so very much for the help, NOTHING is more valuable then first hand experience. I will stay with the Nosler AB's. I used Sierra Pro Hunters this year because deer season got here before I could finalize a load using the NAB's, but will use the NAB's from now on for hunting. Surprisingly NBT's and NAB's both shoot to with in +/- 1" the near same POI, and both have given me multiple sub-moa 5 shot groups at 100 yards. I used the Sierra's because my rifle was zeroed with them and deer season arrived before I could change over to the NAB's. Again thank you to all who responded.

Having taken deer with both the ELD-X and the Accubond this year. I can tell you the Accubond is much mo better deer bullet for all around choice.
My application is from 20 feet to 350 yards, so the bonded bullet helps at the closer range.
I still consider the ELD-X a SST class bullet, it works great at reduced impact speeds.

For what you mentioned and considering what you stated, AB all day. But if your a reloader as you also mentioned might as well play around and see what you can work up with the Eld X ..

I've not shot game with the ELDX yet. But based on what I've read I'd go heavy for caliber and shoot 200's in the 300 WSM. Before i sold my 300 WSM that was the bullet that gave the best accuracy anyway. It does appear that they are on the softer end of the spectrum, but probably no more than a standard cup and core bullet. Going heavy helps slow them down and the weight helps with penetration even if they do expand a lot. I've also gotten excellent accuracy with 178's in 308 and 143's in 6.5 Creedmoore. Both on the heavy end for those cartridges.
Most people don't really want the truth.
They just want constant reassurance that what they believe is the truth.
