I found a clean Remington Model 521 sitting at a Gun Store and wondering what the rifle is worth. Also what era where these produced? Any other info of this rifle would be nice. Thanks.

All of the 500 series rifles were produced in the 50's and 60's, including the 521. I saw a nice one for sale this weekend, with sights, for $250. Only one I have seen for sale lately.

They don't seem to bring what they are worth. Wouldn't sell mine for $250

500 series rifles began about 1939, with some models made into the 80's. 521's were made from 47-67, look at what they are selling and have sold for on Gunbroker to get an idea of what they are selling for now.

just went into a gun store last night I was never in and he had a few winchester 52's that he was proud to have, price shown that, looking thru his used 22 rack there was a Remington 521, most of the bluing gone, stock was nice for how old it was, it was complete with mag, peep sight and globe front. price tag was $125.00 which was a really good buy, the owner asked if I was interested in it, told him I have a few of these and he says I'll let you have it for $85, well no brainer here, I can part it out for the bolt and double that, plus the peep and globe front sight I can get $100 for. If your rifle is in really good condition anywhere between $150 and $200 is a good price, does the one you're looking at come with the peep sight and the front Globe sight.
