Beautiful animal! I'm not convinced the Remington rifle with Leupold is anything more than a photo prop though .

Just shot this Blackbuck in Texas with a 6.8spc and a Barnes 95 Gr TTSX and CAUGHT THE BULLET! It looks like it came out of a magazine ad...perfect performance. Also note the Rifle is a Remington 700...it didn't go off all by itself.. The bolt didn't fall off... And the Leupold Scope never wavered! Will Miracles never cease? Wondering about the eye relief of that scope, too ?

Wow! Despite the odds, everything worked. Envious, as they are a beautiful looking critter in a small package. Maybe someday,

I like the 6.8 more every time I use it. Mine was a Remington Light Tactical Rifle, which I yanked the stock on and replaced with the B&C Ti knock off....22 inch barrel, fluted, I installed an old style Walker trigger in it, Talley lightweights and a Leupy VXII 3x9...it kills bigger stuff tooo
That looks different than the 223 LTR barrel I have, more like an LVSF. Were the 6.8 LTR barrels different than those for the 223 and 308?

Let's see, .270 Rainbow lite, Talley LWs, a Leupold, Walker trigger, bolt handle stayed on, and bullet failed.
Lotsa things working against you. But the Poobs spoke.
Nice!

Congrats on a nice looking buck!
How about a photo of the bullet? 95 gr. TTSX. Perfect performance Is that troublesome that a such small animal retained a bullet?

The bullet traveled almost the length of the blackbuck...3 feet of penetration, plus it was designed to open up at 6.8 velocities... no complaints from me on performance!
