Hi y'all,

I picked up a fn/baco m70 ew in 300 wm and have a Zeiss conquest 3.5-10x44 z600 sitting around. Might as well mount and shoot it I suppose. I would like your recommendation for a steel base and ring setup. Warne? Talley? I'm not interested in a rail or 7075 aluminum. Thanks!

Leupold DD or steel Talley. If you go the Leupold route, they now put a big rediculous looking "L" on top of the rings.

Talley steel bases and rings. I first used them years ago on a .375 H&H and was so impressed that I've used them on every rifle since, including some really light kickers.

I like Leupold DD's on a Model 70.

KMan

I have a set of like new Talley steel bases for a model 70 and matching like new low steel fixed rings.

I would sell for $60 shipped. If interested PM me to “ discuss “

Never used Talley, but I have no doubt they are a very good ring. My Model 70s wear either Leupold DDs or Warne steel bases with Burris Zee rings.

How about Weaver Grand Slam steel bases and Med Grand Slam Rings?

Same basic design has been working pretty well for a long time.

Leupold Dual Dovetail bases with Burris Signature rings look exactly perfect on a Model 70.
