It looks like something where dad would have said - "You know, when I was a kid we lived in a hole in the ground and were damn happy to have it. And on top of that we walked five miles, both ways uphill, barefoot in the snow just to go to school and were happy to have that too." I sometimes suspected dad's telling of his youth. But it is a great old photo.

Neat pic! Anybody here ever do such a trick?

I was tempted a couple weeks ago to crawl into a root hole under a wind fall but decided it wasn't big enough for my gimpy butt so I set up next to it. Funny thing is, two hours later is when a black bear sauntered by on his way someplace else. The only bear I ever saw in the woods while hunting (they're still uncommon around those parts), and I had my phone turned off and tucked under three layers of clothes so no pics. I could draw you a picture though.
