I wore a beard for about 5 years. Always kept it trimmed to about 1/2" or so. Kept my face plenty warm. I just used shampoo on it every morning when taking a shower.

You beard guys need to watch the History Channel series called The Vikings.
Beards come in handy in January in Minnesota.

My situation is just the opposite. My wife dislikes beards, something to do with her view of grooming. I hate scraping hair off my face, and find the wino look comfortable, but that is as far as I ever get before getting yelled at. I figure a trimmed beard would disguise my jowls. I have so little hair I just clip it short all over the sides, the top takes care of itself.

Previous employer made me shave for about 10 years. Thinking that is well behind me...

I used to get my long hair wound around a creeper wheel once in a while.

Never had to call for help, but it was bad.

Have had a beard for many tears, so many that I do not want to shave because I am not sure what is under there!
Keep it trimmed short and neat

I never did find out how long my hair would have to be in order to lay down.

After three years I still looked like Bob Ross on Steroids.

Had a guy get his long hair caught in a gun drill where I used to work....scalped him good!

A few years later a guys was wiping chips away from the drill bushings on a different gun drill wearing cotton gloves while it was running. One of the drills grabbed his pinky finger because of the cotton gloves....it'll be at a perfect right angle forever and ever and ever. shocked

I am retired so I don't worry about that stuff anymore, I was told so long that my hair had to be real short and I had to shave every flipping day. Have not shaved or cut my hair since June 2016. Been called Sasquatch, mountain man you name it, I don't give a big rats a#& what people think about it. I see people in public and they don't have a clue who I am, I like it. My wife just laughs about it, my hair is longer than hers. Sometimes I think I am sporting that 1970's and 1980's look that I once had...HA, HA.

I use a stiff comb and scratch my cheeks till they bleed, then liberally apply rubbing alcohol. Scratches off the pimples you can't see and grabs at least some of the ingrown bastards. After a couple weeks should be a non issue.

Beards n blades...

Pashtun Hillbillies/Taliban respect both.

Grew mine down to my chest.

Literally saved my life twice.

“Spin Gerry, (Gray Beard- a sign of respect such as they have) you show us respect with your beard, we will kill you last.”

Randall #14 and Team Mates argued that point.
