Why 'Shark Tank' inve...pend $2.50 on a cup of coffee

No matter how much your income is, "You have to take 10 percent of your paycheck every two weeks and invest it," O'Leary advises. "People say, 'I can't afford that! I can barely afford my rent!' But it's not true, you buy crap you don't need every day."

Even if Starbucks made a drinkable product, I wouldn't spend the money for it.

A lot of people who stop for a cup of coffee on their way to work don't just get coffee. They will usually get a donut or a muffin also.
They are probably spending closer to $5.00 a day.
I started making my own coffee at home many years ago mostly because it was just to much of a pain to go out of the way to wait in line for 10 min for a cup of coffee.
Saving the money was an added benefit I figured out after.
Lots of those same coffee buyers are also buying their lunch every day.
From what I have seen people spend at work that averages out to around $8.00 to $10.00 for lunch.
If they are spending $15.00 a day on those that is $3900.00 a year.
And they wonder why they are always broke.

Whenever someone complains about price of gas first question I asked them is do they buy coffee from Starbucks or another coffee shop and laugh at them paying $16 a gallon for coffee.

My thoughts exactly!

I've been to a Starbucks exactly one time, paid $8.00 for two cups of coffee. Told the barrista to not spend all that money in one place and to have a happy life.

Never been to a Starbucks. I go to Dunkin Donuts. There are a ton of them in my area. Plus when I'm out plowing and stop by their stores to get a coffee, they ask me to make a lap or two around to clean up their drive through area's and the coffee's on then. Good deal for both of us.

NYH1.

Starbucks sells more milk than coffee according to an article on them I read a few years ago. That being said, their coffee sucks. Give me some Folgers.

I do not get a pay check, I am retired and 100% service connected disabled. I don't have to drink anything but water. I do not have to eat anything more than I must have to substance life. I do not have to live in a home, have power, running water or even a candle. I do not have to own a car or use any form if transportation other than walking. I do not have to use the internet. I would be willing to bet I have spent years gig in on a he'll of a lot closer to the above than you have.

I do not have to have any form of medical care. I do not have to give even one penny to a church, DVA, World Vision or anywhere else.

I am 68 and have served this country for more than a third of my life and pay a price for that service every day so I believe I have the right to be armed and free. Free to make reasonable choices about how I spend the money I have. If I eat a cup of coffee I Will make it or I might decide to go to a coffee shop of one name or another. Try to take away that right and you will find out why I am armed. Do not presume to attempt to order me on how to live my life

Nah, they aren't broke, the credit card still works for their coffee and donut.

So what? Some people can afford it.
