Ever make the sandwiches? What do you like on, and with them?

I love sub sandwiches.
The bread is what makes the sub
Ham, Swiss, Lettuce, tomato, extra mayo and Italian dressing. Side of Doritos and a sprite. Best lunch around.

I like turkey+swiss
proscutto+roasted peppers w/provalone
fried bologna and peppers
even the stand by Italian w/ capacola, ham, peperonl, lettuce tomato, mayo+oil.
all good,,,,

Almost as important as the bread is the dressing...olive oil, vinegar, oregano, and salt...but be careful, it goes all over.

An Italian

Ham, Capicola, Genoa salam and provolone cheese. Top with lettuce, tomato, onion, and a mix of olive oil, red wine vinegar and Oregano brushed on both sides of the hoagie roll.

I like provolone cheese on an italian sub. Capacola ham, hard salami, and garlic bologna are popular where I grew up.

I used to love ring bologna, Dad and I would stop a little country stores and buy a ring for lunch.

Now when I buy some, it seems like it is just flavored fat.

Damned hard to find good sandwich bread up here.

When you do you have to buy a metric ton of it and usually cant get it all used up before it molds.

I am not a very good bread mechanic....prefer to buy it.

Hmm, capicola. Been awhile since I've had my standard of sweet/mild capicola, butter, provolone and white bread. Simple & delicious.
