I stumbled upon this rifle yesterday and had to have it. It is a Ruger 10/22 boring I know. But has a mannlicher style stock with open sights. I have a thing for mannlicher stocked rifles. I have a CZ 550 FS in 9.3x62 and a German Mauser 98 in 30/06 with a 20 inch brl. FS and I had a Sako A-5 FS in 375 h&h also with a 20 inch brl. I need another 22 rifle like I need a brain tumor. But It should fit in nicely.

Rimfire firearms have been multiply at my house too. Don’t “need” them but they sure are fun.

I saw Ruger was doing a run of those for Lipseys. I saw a few different versions of them. Some hard wood, laminate ones, and walnut stocks. I don't need another 22 either but I would also love to get my hands on one. Nice choice.

On Ruger's website, under "Rifles" they have the Distributor Exclusives, and there's a heckuva lot of variants. ALL of them are neat little guns.

The picture is not very clear but I think it is dark brown,or green, black,or some combination there in. But laminate and that is what I like.
I am not able to fondle most guns I buy. 95% are internet sales.

I found these irresistible too! I couldn't stop myself a few years ago after seeing a stainless and walnut Mannlicher 10/22. It became a must-have. I mounted a Leupold 2x7 already on hand in QR rings, added a Clark trigger and a GRX recoil lug. There's too much money invested in a 10/22. But, it shoots pretty accurately with CCI Standard Velocity. If I do my part, 1/2" 10 shot groups at 50 yards on a good day.

Bought a birch one, just for the guts.
Too blond/dull to match my RSI #1 .243win.
Got a factory 2nd mannlicher stock.........cut to sporter (gets me pad and grip cap).

Had a '67 standard and a '67 sporter at same time.............kinda looked for a '67 international.
If I'd have found one, proly kept all 3 as a "set".

Guy had a beat up sporter and Int'l a couple gunshows back, thought they were worth a K each.
Still good "hunters" but............not the gold he thought they were.

My favorite 10/22 mannlicher style are the stainless with green laminated wood that Ruger made for Wal-Mart back in 1997/98, the 10/22 KRBIBBZ.

I had Ahlman's checker the stock on one of them, installed a bx trigger on it, and mounted an old Leupold Vari-X IIc 2-7x28 with a TCH reticle on it.

Well I picked up my new Ruger today. Nice size and fits me well but, the fit and finish is less than what I would let leave my factory, if it were mine. Wood protrudes past the end cap and there are sharp corners and edges. I guess I will get out my orbatol sander and go to work. I do love the color of the stock black/silver also has a nice recoil pad. Fit and finish needs help.
Thanks Erich

The stock came out great, easier than I thought it would be. And it is a nice shooter.
