I have a little Sako with a Leupold Compact 2-7 and the eyepiece diameter is 1.3" I tried to put a 1-4 Leupold on it but the eyepieve diameter of 1.56 and the bolt won't clear the eyepiece. The rifle is a little L-416 Full stock and I would like to put a scope with more FOV on it(coyote calling rig). The rings are original Sako lows and would prefer to keep those and they give me a perfect cheek weld so the hunt for a smaller eyepiece diameter 1-4x20mm scope.

Thanks for any help.

Smaller ocular diameter scopes are:

Leupold Ultralight/Compact series in 2.5x, 4x rimfire, 6x, 2-7x, 3-9x.

Burris Mini/Compact/Short Mag/Timberline in 4x, 6x, 2-7x, 3-9x, 4-12x, 4.5-14x.

There aren't any 1-4x that fit the bill. Maybe a 2-7x could work for you still?

The Weaver V3 1-3x20 looks smaller, but I can't find the dimensions for it anywhere except the length and weight.

Eyepiece diameter 38 mm (a shade under 1.50") according to Midway: https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1...fle-scope-1-3x-20mm-dual-x-reticle-matte

Personally I'd stay with the 2-7. What is wrong with the one you have?

The TC Hawken Hunter 1.5-5x32 might be close. They don't list the ocular diameter, but the objective is 38mm, a hair under 1.5 inches.

I guess the 2-7 will have to do. I much prefer the much larger FOV of the 1-4, nearly double that of a 2-7. I call coyotes, longest shot last year was 176 yards, closest was 6 feet, no need for the extra X's but a larger FOV really comes in handy.
