I had a horse like hat once.

Didn't have him long though.

My favorite part is right at the beginning with the "trespasser leavin' footprints all over my desert".

When cartoons were made to appeal to more age groups than just little kids.

And when people realized that funny was funny.

Some of Bugs' cartoons wouldn't be allowed today. An example was a black guy hunting rabbits. He was barefooted, 1 suspender, slouching along, holding his shotgun by the barrel while it dragged behind him. He was singing in the rankest slave voice.

Some of the best cartoons when I was a kid were left over from WWII.

Yosemite Sam and Foghorn Leghorn were two of my most favored.

I loved Looney Tunes cartoons and especially Bugs Bunny.

Yosemite Sam and his mule always reminded me of a summer spent on my grandad's Illinois farm in 1956. He had a war surplus truck that had a bad brake cylinder, and he never topped it off until it was empty.

Grandad grew up plowing with a mule drawn plow. One day we were in the truck as he backed it up to the corn crib, and the brakes weren't working all of a sudden. I remember like it happened a minute ago. He was shouting "whoa, WHOA you sunofabitch, W H O A !!"...all the way through the crib.

Dad tells a funny story about his grandfather learning to drive a Model T.

Said the family was watching as the old man was driving the car around the farm, then he was standing up in it, pulling back on the wheel yelling "Whoa danged you! Whoa" as he drove it into the side of the barn...

Dad was pretty young then, but still loves to tell the story.

The MGM cartoons done by Tex Avery are very funny. I don't know how to imbed youtube videos. But if some one will imbed "Field and Scream" for me it's a great outdoorsman's cartoon
