TAC is my favourite .223/.223AI powder with 75’s. Seat to a square kiss, work up 24-25gr TAC with a Rem 7.5 primer and RP brass, and bask in the Tikka-tiny-group glory wink

If you want accuracy with a 75 grainer, then try Hornady's 75 grain BTHP... its a lot more accurate than the A Max, or the
75 ELD-M has been in my rifles...

another sleeper for waaaay out there, is the Hornady 68 grain BTHP....

25 grains of H 322....

I did buy the vld seater stem beforehand figuring I'd need it for these and 77 or 80 mk's if these elds can't muster sub 1/2 moa consistently.

First shots with a Tikka .22-250 1/8 twist with 75 AMAX and RL-15:

That 32.5 load is looks promising. Any idea of velocity?

It's slow. I'm loading them .020 off of the lands. The 32.5 gr load is pushing 3,018 fps. I'm hoping to get to around 3,200 with a different powder. I'm hearing H414, H4350 or RL-16 may be better options.

Running IMR 4064 or IMR 4895...my Ruger Pac Nor barreled, 24 inch barrel, 1 in 7 twist, gets 3350 fps MV
utilizing Hornady 75 and 80 grain bullets be they plastic tipped or BTHP...

charge is 33.5 grains...no pressure issues...

also matches the group you got with your 32.5 grain load or better if the shoot can do his part....

I am surprised that your 32.5 grain RL 15 load didn't have a little more velocity...
as I use RL 15 at times, 33.5 grs and also get pretty much the same 3350 fps velocity...

The previous factory barrel was a 243, so I don't have a shortened mag block in the rifle and
the bullets are seated out further than a 22.250 reg mag would allow... and the chamber
is throated to accept the longer round....
