Glad she got it, but that cop needs to be in jail, too.

So.....the good citizens who had nothing to do with this caper are out a half a million bones while it doesn't cost the cop that assaulted her one thin dime......seems fair.

She got what she deserves, a nice fat paycheck. Now she should pursue civil rights violations against them all & file for punitive judgement.

Cop should be fired but hopefully the money will place some pressure on the department to fire such offenders and make sure these type personalities aren't hired.

I'm glad hat she won the case. Unfortunately, the cop didn't have to share in the payment.

Most likely covered by insurance or an inter-governmental risk pool, which operates like insurance. An insurer paying the claim will have a broader impact as they will advise all of their insureds about what went wrong and how to avoid a similar problem in the future.

Was the cop's supervisor that ordered him to arrest her fired as well?

Still comes back to the citizenry as having to pay the premiums on such magically available "inter-governmental risk pool" give us all a fugging break with the sugar coating

The cop was just a flatfoot doing exactly what he was told to do by his supervisor. The supervisor is the one who needs a little jail time to send the right message.

Union officers can make that easy in two years in some areas. Puny settlement. The big one is yet to come.
