At first glance I thought it was a ford from the side.

At first glance I thought it was a ford from the side. My thoughts exactly. The new Chevy they just released has round wheel wells...what's the world coming to? At least They didn't copy the stupid step down on the side windows of the Ford.

Other good news is that the 1500 will be built at Ram’s Sterling Heights, Michigan, facility in the good-old USA. Very Cool. It's got too much elecro-wizardry crap for me but I'm sure the lower end models will be better in that regard.

Everything about that thing inside and out looks like a Ford...except the headlights

Good looking truck! I'll be ready to replace mine in 2020 so hopefully the bugs will be worked out buy then. I got a chuckle out of this. Considering our group consisted of some hardline automotive critics, all were amazed with the Ram’s new multi-compartment console. It is literally big enough to fit a large pizza and deep enough to stow a case or so of coldies.

It does look a lot like a F150. Not driven too many Ram trucks but have driven several 5.7 Hemi powered Chargers. They seem to be reliable powerplants for the most part.

Did they get the shifter to stay in Park for '19?

Did they get the shifter to stay in Park for '19? Yanno, these shift interlocks, park-distance control, ABS, stability control, trailer sway control, airbags, hill holders. What happened to the good old days when trucks were trucks, and men weren't pussies? :-)

Did they get the shifter to stay in Park for '19? It hasn't been an issue.

I have a 2018 Ram. There had been times after I first got it that I failed to get it all the way into park when I thought I did. The console flashed at me and let me know it wasn't in park.

It's funny some think it looks like a Ford. Ford and everyone except GM has in some way copied Dodge/Rams body style over the years.

NYH1. I do now. But I'll tell ya, it took some time to get used to. No doubt about that. I LOVE the 8sp transmission though.

I Like the front end design much better on this one than the current one, as to being able to afford one...that's a different matter.

I miss the days when trucks lacked an overhead console/compartment and a guy could just get a gun-shelf that spun into the holes where the visors go. Your rifle is up, out of the way, mostly unseen by casual passers-by, and yet available very quickly for coyotes, skunks, etc.
