Doug,
What was your preferred use for this lens.?
I have seen many of your outstanding photos and know you must have a good explanation for when this lens works the best for you.
Thanks ,

Ken,
I used the 24-70 for landscapes, along with the Nikon 14-24 and 70-200 f/4. I would guess each each got their share camera time, possibly with the 24-70 getting the most use. If i had only one of the 3 to use, it would be the 24-70. It can be used to take several images and make a pano stitch for a wide image with many pixels to print large, rather than just using a wide angle lens. To give you sense of width range, the first image was taken at 24mm and the second at 70mm using this lens.

I am mostly a landscape photographer with just a little wildlife. If I was doing portraits, a fast 85mm lens would be useful.

Thanks, those are the type of pictures of yours I had in mind, hoping the 24-70 could be used take pics like that. Of course I realize there is a certain amount of skill involved grin

Your price for the completely re condition lens is much better than new, and with the warranty left it is a good buy. Now I am looking for ways to talk my wife into thinking I need it also.

Thanks again for the pics and knowledge.
