They have a 16" threaded! Where? All I see on the tikka website are 20" threaded. According to a couple videos I have watched on the T1x they are making a 16" and 20" barrels, but we are only getting the 20" for now. Here is one of they videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TDujyeLnhA&feature=youtu.be

He's holding the 20.
Looks like we might have to wait to see the 16. My money will wait too.

A trio like that is what I plan on each of my two boys having by the time they graduate high school. Those makes/models would do as well, but being LH probably won't happen as those are made in LH currently.

I’m Already 2/3 way there. T3 In 223 and 06. Not much you can’t do with that combo. Now if I sell the RAR 22 then the T1 will have room in the safe.
All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

Wouldn't be a bad way to fly..... With Elk in the mix if I was starting over this is probably the exact route I would take... but I'm not and the safe is already bursting at the seams. Jerry http://i.imgur.com/s0iaW7Lh.jpgThe top rifle in the photo looks to be a definite 16 incher or the euro/CM version thereof.

Tough to argue that lineup. I don't currently own a 30-06 but I probably should, because I just should.

No flys on a 270. The #3 spot is a hard one to fill. 260, 6.5 CM, 270, '06, Swede....who knows. # 3 — 7 MM RM Jerry

My present trio: 270 270wsm 30-06
When I need more, I prefer heavier rifles and turn to 300wby and 340wby (Mark V) or 7mmSTW ( Sako 85).

T1X 22LR T3 223 T3 30-06 -- 7 mm Rem Mag
Wouldn't be a bad way to fly.....
Guys, I'm NOT pushing a point. I'm an AVID 270 W, 30-06 & 7 mm RM fan & user. IF I had the T 1X 22 & T 3 223-- Pds--Wt; it seems to me the 7mm R M would be quite the Trifecta com'ple 'Jerry

Wonder if it will shoot? You know guys only sell rifles that don't shoot...
Ha! That'll add some pain to the wait. 😆
