Any of you folks have some hands on experience with this rifle? Thinking about getting one in 270 win. but have yet to see one in person. How fat is the stock, prefer slim grip and forearm. How do they feed and eject any inside thoughts on the rifle would help.
Thanks

A buddy has a Patriot in 30-06, I have seen it perform at the range and shot it some Myself.....The good points are: 1. Function has been fine as far as feeding and ejecting 2. Trigger is very good with no creep 3. Accuracy was good but I would not say great. His rifle will shoot several factory ammo's in the MOA range but no really spectacular sub MOA groups 4. Fit and finish is good The bad: 1. I dont like the chunky/slick non-checkered stock, its too thick in the pistol grip for My taste 2. The rifle is heavier than I prefer 3. I am not a fan of the 90 degree bolt lift His rifle seems to be a solid well built gun but for its price point there are other rifles I like much better, if you can live with the stock and weight you will like it but I prize slim lightweight rifles.......Hb

Mine is in 6.5x284. It's a very dependable nail driver.

Thanks don't like the sound of chunky. I am fine with the weight but not so much fat grip and forearm.
