Over the last few years my Savage obession has cooled a bit and been replaced with an addiction to Fox shotguns, but try as I might, in my wanderings I still ocasionally bump into into deals for Savages that are too good to pass up. Yesterday I scored on an unfired 99A in .375. I just wish it had the box. This came out of a large collection of guns from a guy that recently passed and his family swears he never shot most of what he had and like a lot of us he loved to go to shows and buy guns. I had two of those new in the box, but sold them 5 years ago. Got them at Grice wholesale back in the 80's as a closeout $149.00 ea. because they couldn't sell them. Haven't seen the saddle gun version since. Nice find, congrates.

The saddle guns i had in 250-3000 wouldn't slip close. There was someone else here that had 375 saddle guns that did slip close,but i cant remember who it was. Maybe Mad Dog. Don

There was an A in 250-3000 also that got snagged before I found this one.
I was told same condition.
I think i got the better, but more expensive, one.
