Friends,
I have been contacted by an old classmate, who asked me to find out if there is any interest in & an approximate value of a .30-30 WCF Model 94 in NEW/UNFIRED condition & that was manufactured in 1979. = SN: 4722417. (She inherited it from her late uncle.)
Is there any collector's interest in the little rifle OR is it just a NICE shooter. (Fyi, I have no interest in Model 94s nor do I have anything financially to do with this rifle.)
yours, tex

Poconojack,
Would you (or any other member, who may be reading this thread) care to hazard a guess as to what it would sell for at fair market value?

A number of factors could increase the value. Is it one of the commemoratives?, Box, hang tags and other packing materials with the gun? If it's just the gun, my sense is that it would bring in the neighborhood of $400.00 (give or take $50.00 to $100.00 or so)....

By 1979 the M94 was a much better rifle than the 1964-1967 variations. I think it will be a great hunting carbine if one is so inclined - you wouldn't have to worry about quality or crappy fitting. It is also before angle eject and that damn moon crater safety - so a traditionalist would like it. Not up on current prices but Pocono Jack is right on the money in my estimation.
