Worked for the electrical contractor since 1981. I'm part estimator, purchasing, supervisor, billing, collections and all around un-fugger. I'm 63. Hoping to make it to 65. We'll see--1 day at time.

21 years as Navy fighter pilot, swapped uniforms and for 25 years doing essentially the same job as a flight simulator/ground school instructor teaching young aspiring fighter pilots aircraft systems, aerodynamics, emergency procedures, etc. Everything they do in the T-45C, we teach them first in the visual flight simulator, from instrument flying, formation, bombing, carrier qualification, etc. Until they can do it well in the simulator they can’t do it in the aircraft.

It’s got to be one of the best jobs ever...it’s hard to explain how awesome it is to be teaching something I’ve done for my entire adult life to highly motivated, young Navy and Marine student Naval aviators. 😊

I’ve probably got a few more years left in me.

This is 33 years and counting in my current position as a hs science teacher, coach/now athletic director, all in the same school. Thought I would be here a couple of years and now have lots of second generation students coming through.

I have spent 35 years in the conservation field for 4 different agencies. The first 7 years I was in wildlife management, and the last 28 have been in enforcement and management.
I miss the days of working in the field, but the grass always looks greener. I hope to retire within the next few years and enjoy everything that I have tried to improve and protect.

I've been guiding fishermen for 39 years. Moved around a bit to stay employed. Divided my year between Alaska, Washington, Montana, and Idaho, occasionally hosting fishing trips in Florida keys or Bahamas.
Don't work as much now that the kids are on their own, but will never be able to completely retire.
When I started guiding as a young man I was told it was a good way to die broke and lonely.
Told this to my wife recently while doing the books, she looked up and said "Well, you're halfway there".
