I can't quite see, but the engraving looks like a Spiegel. But if it dates to 1928, that's too early for a Spiegel, isn't it? What is it? Joe.

I have always wanted a K or factory engraved rifle that I could refinish and hunt with . Drilled for a top mount scope would be fine. They never seem to show up when I have a little cash .

Been waitin' for Roy to post on this but maybe he's already on the road I offered the guy the sun, moon and stars to ship it. What do I care if he gets pissed for asking? All he has to do is drop it off at the FFL. 300 miles from here but well worth it if I wasn't scheduled for a job this week.

I don't know Washington laws, but I'm sure an FFL will have to be involved across state lines, so why not just take it to an FFL anyhow and have it shipped. Maybe it's a sting operation.

used to be i could go to Washington ,buy a rifle, fill out the 4473 and walk out the door with the rifle. with the current batch of commies passing draconian laws like they are rolling them off a toilet paper roll who knows? anybody up on adjoining state laws? btw i was going to offer him a 45[70 and 500 rounds ammo
