I currently have a Remington 700 that has a barrel ID of XG and a duel letter prefix Sn of RR. Can anyone help with with dating this as well as explain what RR stands for? I have heard RR is for Remington Rebuild which was a decommissioned M24 receiver?

Please help.

I'm guessing 2009, by the XG (Dec 09) and because of the RR, which is the later run of 700's.

The RR don't mean nothing, just part of the serial number sequence.
