Phil,

I think it should be a mandatory read for all here. It shows just how stupid folks get when in pissing contests. I don't think we have ever engaged in that level of stupidity here, but we have come close a time or two.

Wow, lots of real active brain cells dreaming that crap up. Makes the worst around here sound like a church social.

Just started lurking over there, and already starting to pick out the problem children, as I've already read stuff that Rick would never stand for. (THANK YOU RICK!!)

I wondered why there were so many posts over an item in the classifieds. I kinda figured it was a rant of some sort. Sure enough...

I post on AR semi-regularly under the handle Gatogordo and it is kind of like visiting a really good organic garden. Lots of good stuff there, but you have to watch what you step on on into.

As for Russell, he is so vehement and clever that I enjoy reading most of his posts. However, he probably does have an "issue" or two. There are others that are much worse, believe it or not.

For anyone who cares,I post under "Brian M" on AR.

Russell is a complete,100% nutcase. If you don't belive me,read some of his prior posts on the Political forum on AR or better yet, search out some of his older posts on HA.He delights in the death of people and wants badly to kill folks, but fears the consecuences. He has SEVERE mental illness.

Note that he made it clear that he wanted me to die, simply because I told him his wholesaler price (which ended up being retail, but his own admition),was way high.

Hell, anyone who bases their whole LIFE on John Wayne movies, has a few screws loose. He obviously does.He says when his dog dies,he'll kill himself (because "I'll have nothing left"),so hopefull we won't have to deal with him much longer if the dog is old.

Brian.

I have read Russel on HA and had some communication with him. He is a little weird but very entertaining, tends to back down when responded to in the same manner, and I don't believe him to be dangerous. I even feel a little sorry for him.

That said, I'm just glad he doesn't know where I live, cause I might be wrong about him

WCB,

After posting on AR for quite awhile, I've got most of the characters pretty well figured out, as you should by now.

If anything, Russel is predictable at the very least. Why you would want to kick a growling dog knowing it will probably bite you is beyond me, but makes for entertaining reading anyway.- Sheister

Brian, shouldn't have to run that gauntlett anyway, for bringing up the obvious! When he first posted I almost pointed out the fact that S.W.F.A. had the same scope, new in the box, matt finish w/Heavy Duplex for $309. New from Primere Reticle with the 4a is just $349. Glad I stayed out of it. Couldn't understand where the FFL part came into the discussion either. Doesn't matter how enjoyable the discussion might be, that kind of talk doesn't belong.

One thing I like about AR - Dont show up with BS in your hand. You post something that is questionable or incorrect, you will get hammered - and justifiably so. There are no ivory towers over there - they couldnt withstand the criticism. Of course, you will need to cover your eyes at times because of the language, but its fun none the less. Its a lot like a frat party - its irreverent, unsupervised, and anything goes. Only the brave should participate.

Based on the number of hits each day, it must appeal to a large cross section of folks.

I am not affraid of Russell. He's an internet bully-someone who screams at the screen, jumps around pulling his hair, ect.Even though he claims it,he DOES NOT act like this in real life.He couldn't-he would be in jail for killing someone.

I do though think that his attitude on the net,is definetly not healthy, and he shows signs on severe mental illness.

Here's a nice quote from Russell from HA- "The only reason certain people are alive today is because I have allowed them to be alive, because "the law" (ha!) says "it's wrong" for me to kill people even when they deserve to die."

If that's not crazy,I don't know what it.

Brian.

SU35,
Oh yeah-he threatened to kill people on HA for miss-spelling his name.He says if you're too stupid to not spell someone's name right, you deserve to die.He also says if you mistake his car for your's in the parking lot (that's happened to all of us,I'm sure) "if you're too stupid to tell your car from mine, you deserve to die.Period.".

He needs to be on medication.Or better yet, locked up.He's the kind of psycho that gives us all a bad name. He'll probibly end up going postal and shooting up a shopping center or something.

Brian.

Sounds just like another troll I have seen on several sites, also of a certain gun shop owner in Cape Coral, FL who is all hot air and no substance. That is why I don't frequent boards that allow that kind of trash, I have no time for it.

WCB:

Whatever Russell is, his statement about the only reason some people is alive is because the law says it is illegal to kill them is not crazy. As a matter of fact, I can personally attest to the fact that the minor legal detail called first degree murder and the consequences thereof is the ONLY thing that keeps a couple of people I know alive. And there ain't no smiley face on this one.

There's an old TRUE saying in Texas and that is "Some people need killing."

As anybody who's seen my posts over the years knows I don't go antagonizing people on the internet, or really anywhere else for that matter. Still, I've locked horns with Russell and it got kind of ugly. The guy is seriously whacked. He was making e-mail death threats right and left over on HA, which figured at least in part in the departure of several moderators. Swamp seemed to be buffaloed by the guy, which is the only reason I can think of why he didn't get banned immediately.

He recently had a post over on AR, in a thread about somebody getting some antlers stolen out of their yard. Russell was carrying on about his fantasies regarding people who've wronged him. It was not funny or even morbidly attractive in a car wreck sort of way. It was just disturbing. I read about two lines & decided I had better things to do.

When I learned he was coming elk hunting here this past fall, I posted sort of an open invitation to meet someplace, & I'd buy him a beer. I figured the guy couldn't be that bad in person, and I'd have been, um, prepared just in case, but I also figured I was pretty safe cause he'd never show. Sure enough, he dismissed me out of hand, citing old grudges. Oh, and then he said he'd put a bullet in Greenhorn if he could do it with no witnesses. Charming, just charming....

I've been participating in these bulletin boards since the early days of the Coffee Shop, which is darn near prehistory in internet terms. I'd have to say Russell is the most seriously whacked individual I've seen on the boards. I also participate in some guitar boards. There's a couple of guys who've been banned from every music board in existence, and while they're seriously obnoxious, they don't go around threatening people. Why any moderators tolerate Russell is beyond me.

He's probably just got a major Walter Mitty complex, but guys like that snap sometimes, you know. So, I don't go around wishing bad juju on folks, but I don't think I'll be praying for a long & healthy life for his dog, either ;-).
