This is just a suggestion. Since the Campfire Forum does not have a trader feedback system I have a idea. After you have purchased and received a item go back to the original post and leave some feedback about the transaction.
This way if you want to know about a person who is selling something you can look through their posts and see how previous transactions went if they have any.

Just my two cents....

If You agree post "YES"

Regards,
Dan

What about the guys who don't even know how to post a picture; what makes you think they can write?

In the light of guys being scammed on here I will bring this to the top again..... We can make our own feedback system by just posting about your purchase on the original post after you have received your item. Thay way when you are going to purchase something from someone first check all their posts to see how the transactions went....

Makes sense.

Nope
In theory its a good idea, but i will bump a bunch of old posts in the classifieds of stuff that is not longer for sale.

There already is a good guy list lets figure out a way to improve that.

Yes bob and when you are bumping the old posts guys will take a look at them and they will see if the transactions were good or bad.... and I can assure you they will take note if it's bad. The good guy list is worthless.... How do you search it?

100 post minimum before you are allowed to sell on the classifieds
Might deter some scammers.
Some other sites do it

I too wish the Good Guy list was searchable. This seems like a decent alternative.

No.

It would just be unnecessary clutter.

Those who call magazines "clips" and cartridges "bullets" ought not to be taken seriously. Jeff Cooper.
We might add those who call bullets "boolits.

Or have a trade/post count with positive or negative feedback in your personal profile.
But it’s on display for all to see and can only be accessed by the persons involved in the sale/trade.
In other words, for example...
Say I did 12 transactions, they are all positive but one, I personally cannot change or adjust my own feedback profile against or for me but can only do to the person who I dealt with.

Caveat Emptor!

How hard is it to discipline one's self. I don't do a lot of selling here, but do some buying. I see stuff all the time that I would not mind buying, but the poster that has been here for a month or two,six months or a year and has few posts or all his posts in the classifieds and very few of those have sold. I never, ever, never buy from someone with a recent log on date or just a few posts or only posts in the classifieds unless its for say a benjamin or under. I figure an individual that's been on the forum for a couple years and has hundreds of posts in various forums has a pedigree similar to mine. It takes a while to build a rep, but a moment to destroy it. No way I'm gonna ruin my rep of 10 years of posting here for a few bucks. I figure most guys that have been here for years feel the same way. To date, following that rule, I've not been burned on the fire or on AR. Maybe that ain't fair to Newbies, but tough schidtt. Let em' pay their dues and earn a rep.

just sayin!
