Taking a break from your usual curling event? I see your second favorite event figuring skating is on... lol 😂

True, although I actually enjoyed watching the married couple skate, they're just damn adorable together.. Wish my wife would look at me the way she was looking at him after their performance.

A few days ago I read an article about how some Olympic champions have managed to turn their medals into real gold in the bank. White tops the list. Noone else is even close. Between endorsements, etc, he's banked $40 Million.

I kinda wish someone would mention to these guys that dragging the Flag around on the ground behind you and stepping on it as you celebrate your greatness isn't very respectful toward that Flag.

I came out of my chair when I saw that azzwipe drag the flag through the snow and then step on it. Then wad it up. The flag is not supposed to be a body wrap, either.

That dragging the flag bugged me too.
All-in-all I give the US snowboard kids a one-time pass on that. In the years I've been watching they have mostly been respectful and they come from a world where they have to buck their peers to do so.
Pretty sure Shawn White will get smeared on twitter for that but I think if you gave him a do-over he would not drag the flag in that manner.

Do over my azz. He is 31 years old, and not a kid. He has been in the spotlight before, and should know better.

White has always been a class act, excited or not the flag deserves respect...he'll get bombarded for that in
social media.

Shaun White apologized Wednesday for letting an American flag drag on the ground in the aftermath of his dramatic victory in the snowboard halfpipe.

White authored what will undoubtedly go down as one of the most indelible sequences of the PyeongChang Olympics Wednesday, winning his third Olympic gold medal with a masterful final run and immediately launching into a highly emotional celebration.

However, that happy moment was marred for more than a few viewers because of the way the 31-year-old handled the flag. At a news conference in PyeongChang Wednesday afternoon, the four-time Olympian said he wasn’t aware he’d let the flag touch the ground.

“I remember being handed the flag. I was trying to put my gloves on and hold the flag and the board,” he said. “Honestly, if there was anything, I definitely didn’t mean any disrespect. The flag that’s flying on my house right now is way up there. Sorry for that. But I’m definitely proud — very proud — to be a part of Team USA and being an American and to be representing for everyone back home.”

I am hooked on it .

Getting a kick having watched the Chinese vs the Norwegians...Chinese Woman was loud to say the least.

Getting back on topic that Shaun White third attempt was without a doubt one of the most pressure cooked moments ever at an olympics.
