Considering the EH3, EH6 & SL for long action 700, 25-06 with factory sporter barrel. Opinions on these vs the McMillan options?
The rifle currently has a Bell & Carlson. I wouldn't call it awful. I would like to drop a little weight and get away from the overly closed grip of the B&C though.

I’ve recently built rifles with a few of those. For a long action with that barrel I’d probably choose the tighter grip and slightly longer forend of the eh6. There’s also the eh8, which is shorter and more open like a Montana stock. They all have higher combs than the McMillan offerings that I’ve used.

The comb height is one of the appealing things to me.
Any issues getting what you ordered from Manners, and getting it in a reasonable time frame? I found and read a couple of the horror story thread a few members have had with Manners.

I think it's all out there for you to read. Reasonable time frame? No. For your factory sporter, I'd look through Stocky's and see if they have any long action BDL's in stock for the factory sporter. You'll be miles ahead if you can find one there.
Versus McMillan, I still like Manners for the same reason as Shooter71. Higher comb. The factory pillars are beefier on the Manners, too. I've had one bad experience out of about a dozen that I've had...some ordered from Manners and some bought from Stocky's. So there's a good chance you'll be happy.
ETA: I just checked Stocky's, and they don't have any LA BDL sporter contour stocks in stock. I checked Superlight, EH2, EH3, EH4, EH6, and EH8.

Might look at bullets.com. Saw a bunch of Manners listed as in stock just this morning.
Screw you! I'm voting for Trump again!

I just put an EH-8 on a Model 7. I really like the stock design. Had to be sent back to Manners once though, because the pillars were too long. Manners said they do that because ‘smiths like to have the option of grinding the pillars down themselves. Manners paid for the shipping both ways, and got it back to me within a reasonable amount of time.
All in all, I’d say there are more manners in my future.
I probably hit more elk with a pickup than you have with a rifle. I have yet to see anyone claim Leupold has never had to fix an optic. I know I have sent a few back. 2 MK 6s, a VX-6, and 3 VX-111s.

I just got a new Manners in 4 weeks ago. I think it took about 4 months. Of course it had the requisite Manners inlet flub, this time it was the bottom metal inlet. After 4 weeks of phone calls and emails on my part they offered to patch it up but I'll just have Beanland do it. Great stock designs and quality construction, but the inlets and customer service are ridiculous.

And my recommendation is the EH6, as the EH8 is pretty much designed for short actions. The SL and EH3 would also work, but the 6 is my preference.

Thanks to all for the input.
257, thanks for checking Stocky's. I have checked them several times and haven't found any of the EH series in stock.
Speaking of Stocky's, anyone handled the stock that AG Composites is making for Stocky's? I don't think it is quite the ergos I'm looking for, but does look nice.....and they have them in stock.

I’m thanking 257 for my new Manners SL. The Ti 300 SAUM dropped in perfectly and the APA DBM will let me load to a longer COAL than the 2.82” factory magazine....
