I picked up some once fired nny headspaced brass as my supply was getting low. Full length sized the brass, checked and loaded. Turned out about 75% of the brass is hard to chamber, and after measuring the extraction groove is a little oversized. I have two #11 shellholders, one accepts all the shells, the other does not.

The shells that are hard to chamber are more difficult to shut the bolt, not to the point on striking, just noticeably harder, you definitely have to force the bolt down. Do you guys see any issues in firing? Wondering what will happen on extraction. Thinking about putting back for coyote loads, they are 139 grain interlocks. Never have faced this before.

I believe you would be better off with this Norma brass.

Thanks for the link Butch, I ordered 50. Hard to find 7x57 anymore. Not planning on hunting with what I have, would throw away when shot. Just hate pulling, that was why I was wondering if they would be ok to shoot. Was going to put them back for emergency rounds at cabin.

The odd-sized extractor grooves aren't unusual in Privi brass (and S&B also). I've used quite a bit of Privi brass (including 7x57), it seems to me to be as good as Rem/Fed/Win, you probably just need to size it a bit more than you have.

Privi and s&b is about all you see anymore. Not sure sizing will fix this, the groove that is large is in the shellholders during sizing, unless I am missing something.

Ah.

Have a .45 ACP sizing die?

ETA: My bad, if the oversized part of the case is right above the extractor groove the .45 die won't touch it. Sorry.
